SUMMARY:Piano Contest (Ages 6-14 and High School)
DESCRIPTION:Determines\, through solo competition\, the most gifted young pianists among the students of HMTA’s teachers. Competitors (ages 6–18) vie for gold\, silver\, and bronze medals\, as decided by a panel of judges. Among gold medalists in the 15–18 age categories (high school competitors)\, 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place winners are selected. Some of these winners also receive special awards for outstanding performances of Baroque\, Classical\, Romantic\, and 20th Century compositions.

SUMMARY:Piano Contest Final: Ages 6–14 | High School Winners Recital
DESCRIPTION:All finalists receive a Gold Medal and a trophy of equal size. In addition\, each finalist receives either a Special Honors Award or a Best Performance Award\, as determined by the judges. High School winners who placed 1st\, 2nd\, or 3rd also return to perform (outside of competition); three-time participants are recognized with awards as well.
