Piano Contest (Ages 6-14 and High School)

Determines, through solo competition, the most gifted young pianists among the students of HMTA’s teachers. Competitors (ages 6–18) vie for gold, silver, and bronze medals, as decided by a panel of judges. Among gold medalists in the 15–18 age categories (high school competitors), 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners are selected. Some of these winners also receive special awards for outstanding performances of Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th Century compositions.
